Charlie Sheen accidentally tweeted his cell phone number to 5 million followers on the micro-blogging service Twitter.
“310-954-7277 Call me bro. C,” Sheen tweeted from the Las Vegas restaurant Guy Savoy last week. What was intended to be a direct message to Justin Beiber, quickly spread through the Twitterverse. While, the message has since been deleted, but the retweets can still be seen on Twitter.
The Daily Telegraph claims a source witnessed Sheen’s phone go wild after the tweet.
“Charlie’s phone immediately went into meltdown. It was ringing wildly, and he got 1,800 text messages in minutes. Charlie saw the funny side and answered the phone a few times, saying things like ‘Ray’s Pizza’ and ‘Winning’,” the source said.
Don’t think you’ll get through to the former “Two and a Half Men” actor anytime soon, goddesses. The Telegraph’s source said, “Charlie was, like, ‘I guess I need a new phone’.”
This isn’t the first Twitter DM fail to get the attention of the public. Former New York congressman Rep. Anthony Weiner got into hot water over a lewd photo, which was accidentally tweeted to his followers last spring.
The actor joined Twitter earlier this year, setting a Guinness World Record for the fasted to a million followers. Immediately, Sheen began popularizing words like “winning,” “tiger blood” and “goddesses” in reference to his girlfriends.
